A friend of mine told me this weekend that it’s still ingrained in her to wear all gold or all silver–never shall the twain meet. Her mother taught her that fashion lesson many eons ago.
After several cups of coffee and a shared sticky bun, I finally convinced her that the old fashion rule is just that…old! (It’s up there with wearing white shoes after Labor Day.)
Dare to wear multi-colored metals. They often gently enhance tones in each other and add more depth to your outfit.
Before my friend and I parted ways that day, she was finally convinced.. And I felt like I had done my part for fashion (!).
Hi Jen…Jane here in Texas. My Forever One earrings arrived on Friday. They are GORGEOUS! I love them, they are so pretty! Thank you for keeping me updated and as always, Schubach Jewelers is truly the BEST! Have a great day! Jane
We’re still buzzing in the studio about Beyonce’s show-stopping half-time Superbowl performance on Sunday…because, well…WOW!
But like any cadre of jewelers, we’re a little less focused on the political message behind her song and considerably more focused on the jewels dripping off Queen Bey. Again, can we hear a WOW?
According to Hollywood Life:
The divine diva rocked 18 karat gold champagne nude diamond football-shaped marquise studs, which weighed in at 31 carats. She stuck to the theme as she piled on a 30 carat cushion-shape chunky bezel ring and a 26-carat champagne nude collection pear-shaped diamond knocker bezel ring. As if those baubles weren’t enough, she also added two champagne nude diamond wrap-around rings on each pinky. If you add it all up, her bling totalled approximately 100 carats of champagne from the nudes collection diamonds.
We have a confession to make: we’re not thrilled with last year’s Superbowl ring. We’re hoping that the Broncos will don something much more fashionable.
Here’s some cool facts about last year’s ring via ESPN.
1. The rings cost $36,500 each and are the most expensive ever produced by Jostens.
2. Kraft purchased 150 rings for a total of $5.475 million.
3. There are 4.85 carats in each ring.
We liked the earlier incarnations. Stylish, simpler lines and less elaborate in design approach (which seems more fitting for a football player, in our humble opinion):
Green Bay Packers, 1967
New York Jets, 1969
Kansas City Chiefs, 1970.
Miami Dolphins, 1972
Dallas Cowboys
