Shared Prongs vs Split Prongs

Shared prongs on the left, split prongs on the right. Other examples of shared prongs can be found here and here and examples of split prongs can be found here and here. Both styles have a similar look however split prongs are a more delicate. This setting style is commonly referred to as pavé setting where each stone has four smaller prongs holding the stone in place. Shared prongs are more affordable as the labor required to set the stones is less.
