Once a week, we like to spotlight a certain piece in our collection that bears a little extra notice. Our Round Moissanite Circle necklace is a classic, popular piece – and for good reason. Clients often tell us it goes with just about anything – whether you’re dressing up for a special occasional or need a sparkling touch with a simple, casual outfit – its just easy to wear.

The circle is a strong symbol, one with countless implications. A few include:

Some circle symbol meaning keywords to contemplate:

    • Inclusion
    • Wholeness
    • Focus
    • Unity
    • Nurturing
    • Cycles
    • Initiation
    • Everything
    • Perfection
    • Centering
    • Revolution
    • Infinity
    • Mobility
    • Completion

With all of its multi-layered meanings, you can choose which symbolic meaning this necklace will have for you. And it can change as the years go by.

And because its moissante (more than just a diamond simulant – it’s a lab-created diamond), you’ve purchased an eco-friendly gem that radiates the same luster and brilliance of a natural mined diamond.

If you’re choosing a necklace for a partner or a relative, this is your “go to” piece. Of all of our pieces, this one always receives a resounding “Yes!” when the box is opened.

  • Moissanite and Diamonds – The Difference, The Similarities

We’re long-standing proponents of moissanite here at Joseph Schubach Jewelers. Not only is it eco-friendly (it’s not mined liked natural diamonds but created in a laboratory), but its brilliance and luster remain the same.

From our side of the counter, we’ve also seen countless customers who were able to pick out their favorite piece of jewelry because of moissanite’s affordability. But people remain skeptical, thinking moissanite is just a poor man’s diamond simulant. Think again: it is a diamond. It’s simply a lab-produced diamond.

    Difference between Moissanite and Diamond

    • The properties of Moissanite can be compared with diamond, and it has been found that this wonder material outperforms diamond on nearly all counts.

    • If refractive index of diamond is 2.42, Moissanite has a refractive index of 2.65-2.69.

    • Dispersion, also called fire by jewelers, is higher for Moissanite (0.104) than diamond (0.044). Even in luster index, Moissanite (20.4%) is much ahead of diamond (17.2%).

    • It is only in hardness that diamond is ahead of Moissanite, but that too is just a little bit.

    • Diamond has been given a perfect 10 on Mohs scale, whereas Moissanite’s hardness is rated 9.25.

    • When it comes to toughness, Moissanite is labeled as excellent, whereas diamond is given a good on this count.

    • Moissanite is also comparable to diamond in specific gravity.

  • The Spotlight on our Round Moissanite Heart Pendant

Round Moissanite Heart Necklace Heart pendant with approximatley 3/4ct t.w. (dia equiv) Charles and Colvard created round moissanite set on an 18" cable

Once a week, we like to spotlight a certain piece in our collection that bears extra notice. Our Round Moissanite Heart Pendant is a classic, popular piece – and for good reason. Clients often tell us it goes with just about anything – whether you’re dressing up for a special occasional or need a sparkling touch with a simple, casual outfit – its just easy to wear.

Then there’s the moissanite. If you’re not familiar with this diamond alternative, this necklace is a smart way to experiment with an increasingly popular gem. Many won’t sacrifice diamonds for an engagement ring, for instance, but they will in a piece like this moissanite pendant necklace, where the stakes don’t seem as high! Once they realize the luster and beauty of moissanite, they’re often hooked and don’t look back.

And then there’s the heart. Regardless of your age or your tastes, a heart pendant speaks to all of us. It shows our openness to love. It shows others that we care. It’s a symbol that has resonated throughout time.

This piece is currently $689, making it affordable to many. And it’s an addition to your wardrobe that will stand the test of time, so a smart investment as well.

  • Welcoming our New Collection – Petite Pave Rings

We’re pleased to announce our most recent collection: petite pave rings. These wedding bands and engagement rings are delicate and finely styled. It’s perfect for the woman who wants a delicate and subtly eye-catching ring.

What does pave mean exactly? Pavé settings are made up of lots of small gemstones, often diamonds or moissanite, set closely together. The gems are separated and held in place by little beads of the setting metal. The result is what looks like a continuous surface of diamonds or other gems.

Here are a few samples below. Or stop by here and take a look at our entire collection.

Petite Pave' Engagement Ring With Prong Set Round Side Stones From the Petite Pave' Collection: Split shank engagement ring with approximately 1/6ct t.w. prong set round brilliant diamond side stones (setting only, does not include center stone).

Style 10513WB Petite Pave' Wedding Band With Prong Set Round Stones From the Petite Pave Collection: Matching prong set wedding band with approximately 1/4ct t.w. round brilliant stones.

Petite Pave' Wedding Band With Round Diamonds From the Petite Pave' Collection: Matching wedding band with approximately 2/5ct t.w. round brilliant diamonds.

  • New Engagement Ring Style

We just finished this yummy ring for a local client of ours. It’s new to the line, exclusive to us, and not on the site yet. If anyone wants to ooohhh and ahhhhh over it, give us a call and we’ll ooohhhh and ahhhhh with you!

We’ve shown it with a couple of matching wedding bands. Seems that having multiple wedding bands is all the rage right now. Also, multiple wedding bands make great anniversary and occasion presents!

As usual, you can have this ring made with any stone, metal and combination you prefer! Better photos forthcoming.
