She really wanted a new piece of jewelry. She hadn’t purchased something new in years. Unfortunately she and her husband were going through a trying financial time and simply couldn’t justify a new purchase. So she sat down with her jewelry box and dumped the contents on the bed. As a jeweler, I often notice wedding bands on people’s hands. Many of them seem heavy and not designed particularly well. Unfortunately, it’s a ring you will (ideally!) wear for life. Fit and design matter more than, say, a pendant necklace.

Many don’t know good faceting from the next. Or at least they think they don’t know. But truthfully, it’s just as plain as the ring on your finger. Most people, consciously or not, do know good faceting, since it so drastically affects the look of the piece.

This video gives a good idea on gems and faceting so when you buy your next piece, you’re in the know.

Schubach Jewelers is by far the best online company I’ve come across. I was
wanting a moissanite stone to replace my diamond in my wedding ring. I did
a ton of research online, went to a few local jewelers (all they did was
try to talk me out of a moissanite. They told me all a moissanite is, is an

So the ring…

IT IS GREAT!!   I am very happy with it.  In fact I’m so happy with it I derailed my plan to give it to her next week on sunset cliffs in San Diego. We went in the mountains in North Carolina Saturday and I proposed to her in front of a 404′ waterfall. The newly engaged lady, K, loves the ring. Thank you very much for everything!!
