Oscar 2010 Bling Highlights!

Diamonds, pearl tassels, ruby earrings, mismatched piles of bracelets, sapphires…all were in abundance at last night’s Oscar ceremonies.

And while the ceremony itself was a real sleeper, the wardrobe definitely was lively. As we slowly creep our way out of a dark economic period, Hollywood reflects the change by showcasing some stunning, bold fashion choices.

The great part about the Oscars? If you see a piece you like, we’re craftsman who are more than happy to recreate the look at a fraction (and we do mean, a fraction) of the cost by using amazing alternative gems such as moissanite and Gemesis.

We’ll give you more creative “food for thought” throughout the week as we showcase more Oscar bling.

Zoe Saldana in Lorraine Schwartz

Avatar star Saldana matched her Givenchy couture gown, which featured multiple tones of purple, with a tonal 80-carat amethyst ring custom-made by Lorraine Schwartz.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Fred Leighton

Sarah Jessica Parker paired her pale yellow silk Chanel gown with amazing jewels from Fred Leighton, including a mismatched pile of bracelets (featuring a 1950s diamond swirl bracelet, cognac diamond flexible bracelet, rose-cut diamond bracelet in platinum and sapphire and diamond wave bangle bracelet). She topped off her armful of bling with a 9-carat cushion-cut old-mine diamond ring, whose moon shape was the standout for sure.

Miley Cyrus in Lorraine Schwartz

Cyrus accented her boudoir-inspired Jenny Packham gown with dazzling flower-shaped bronzed diamond and ruby earrings by Lorraine Schwartz.

Demi Moore in Van Cleef & Arpels

Moore‘s strapless Atelier Versace gown and chic updo perfectly showcased her pearl tassel, diamond and sapphire drop earrings from Van Cleef & Arpels.
